i don't know , do you ?
i know there's like poems about what are friends but it's the stereotypical examples .
my friends don't behave like that , because it's impossible to fulfil the needs .

i know because sometimes i find being a friend is really difficult .

i can listen to your problems ,
but sometimes my cynical personality takes over and i start being cynical .
i try to keep it to myself but then .. here you are in front of me and needing my help .

i feel helpless myself . i'm refraining myself to making insensitive comments when i'm cynical .
and because i'm refraining myself , i don't give you my honest words .
instead i try to say positive things , no matter how bleak the situation is .

so i'm not exactly being a friend right ?
because friends need to be honest with each other and stuff .

also , friends don't judge one another .
then am i not a friend from occasionally judging you ? maybe .

imagine you are balancing a heavy , big round tray , laden with fragile glass plates .
while trying not to slip because of the floor , that is smeared by food or covered with plenty of oil .
oh , there's also ... about another 30-40 something of you enclosed in a space that's hardly twice the size of a typical classroom .

AND , not forgetting to mention that there are chefs and office staffs in there as well . the pathway is narrow too , about two and a half person wide ?

even with that , she still wanted to go and collect her particulars .
my my , because of you the staff's pay might get docked you know ?
if you accidentally bumped into them (which in that situation , is as easy as ABC) , break the fine china , then how ?
or if you hinder their workpace and later kena complain by the pompous posh customers then how ?

it's my 7th day here in Taiwan , things are going alright .
i'm being overfed , but it's cool .
it's not like you'll get to eat yummy food everyday :D

the children here are still getting to know me .
they're lovely , but when they start being rude that's another issue altogether .
a few that i've taught have commented me as a very gentle teacher .

gentle leh ! i almost froze in shock when they told me that .
because back in SG , almost everybody says that i'm anything but gentle . lor .
ahem , you guys might want to take back those words :P

haaahaaaa , i know that i have super thick skin .

then , hmmmmmm .
oh ! i'm living in this super ulu hill , that's surrounded by more hills .
then the children i'm teaching lives here everyday (i'm not making sense) .

transport is not convenient at all (for the children ) .
the public bus almost never appear . the roads twist and turn , goes really steep up and down .
adding the fact that it's winter now , it gets dark around 5pm .

their extra classes conducted by the social organization i'm working for , ends at 8:30pm in some cases .
many roads do not have streetlamps so the roads are immersed in opaque darkness .

children with torchlight are coping with it ohkay .
but then many children don't have torchlight to help them see .
like that how ? the adjusting of the eyes ?

which , by the way . makes subtle difference . you can only see blurry outlines at best .

like WTF , i can't figure out how they find their way back home .
i'm lucky because i tag along with my colleagues (with the same shift)
who have motorbikes (most awesome experience ever , the winds are super cold !) or cars .

there are also situations where the combination of bad weather and lack of transport leads to the children not going to school .
in SG no big deal . just take an umbrella , sulk and get on with it .

but here , up in the hills .
bad weather like rain causes rock boulders to roll or fall , roads to be super slippery .. you get the picture .
just a plain awful situation .

so for safety reasons some children can't attend school
(there was a case where it was a week absence from school) .

speaking of school , majority of the school teachers are slackers (mostly for junior high) .
they don't care if you eat , take photos , sing (other stuffs you should not be doing in class) .
they just go on , repeating the same stuff . tired of everything .

the atrocity of it just pisses me off .
especially when they say they don't have time to mark and compile marks for their own students .
when like what , each level has one class .

and that one class have 20-30 something pupils , like that also no time to mark ? for serious ?

the teacher also don't give a hoot
if you don't turn up for all your exams and get a big fat zero for overall .
bloody ridiculous lah !

ohkay , let me have some ice cream to cool down .

there are still small glimpses of hope though .
there are students who wants to study hard and get good grades .
because they know that education is key to get out and prevent poverty .

so yeah , that's where the social organization comes in and help .
by giving extra books , worksheets , counselling . FOC .
they just have to sign up and that's it .

it's 2:29 in the morning ,
and i'm wide awake for god-knows-what reason .
i guess i'm feeling a little attached to my lappy because i haven't been using it for awhile .

ohkay , moving on to something very disturbing .
well , it's not exactly disturbing but i think it's more of alarming ?
to me lah , to me .

so as people close to me have noticed , i might have some health issues .
not mentally ah , tell you first .
this thing has been on my chest for quite awhile , literally .

i will get this feeling of uhm .. a sharp jab of pain through my heart ,
then it gets very difficult to breathe because breathing will just amplify the pain .
so i will just freeze on pronto , looking very much like a moron .

with the horrible face that screams "constipation" , sigh .

shushu and the others told me to see a doctor about it .
my family said the same thing as well after i told them .
but i didn't because either my family keeps forgetting or i keep forgetting .

haha , great things that run within the family .

also partly because i don't have the courage to .

see , at first it was ohkay .

it seems that i'm not a very consistent person .

i only failed two subjects during MYE .
not much of an achievement though , oy .

a lot of things got me thinking really hard lately , so many issues to clear .
well , i'm like in this a catch between avenue twenty-two . torn between two worlds .

BOO ! i just came back from ballet .

now my blister is the size of Texas luh , with the transparent-looking liquid filling it .
whenever i try to walk right , i will feel a jab of short , sharp pain in my right leg , which is damn pain bodoh !
so i look like a one-legged chicken on the loose lor , so retarded .

Miss Keeth told me to burst the blister with a disinfected needle D:

i will do it after i finish showering lah , because i don't want to feel any pain again !

hmm , i want to post about track today !

i just got to remember my juniors names , i mean still processing all the names in to my brain lah .
because there were too many of them already .
and all of them are boys , the girls don't know fly to where .

Dominic , Ray , Jeremy , Wei Shin , Jia Min , Arthur , Jacky & chiobu .

in case you people are wondering why there is a guy called "chiobu" there .
i can explain , just , just don't barf at him ah .
that poor guy got people calling him "chiobu" all day at track , so give him some slack yeah .

it is all because the others call him "chiobu" , and i can't seem to remember his name so i called him "chiobu" too ;D

so me , Dominic , Ray , Jeremy , Wei Shin , Jia Min , Arthur , Jacky , "chiobu" and another junior went to warm up .
then rights , they were discussing whether they should create a new song to help me remember their names .
because they thought that my brain was too small .

for the last time people , i'm not that bimbotic , not yet .

so after the warm up i did drills with them .
gave them their water break and rested for about 10 minutes in the gym .
Firman gathered them together and called them to do millage , 30 minutes of non-stop jogging in the school .

as usual , senior in charge of juniors .
so i was responsible to make them do their millage .
meaning i also had to do millage too , shit .

FYI ; i have two blisters that is totally HUGE , another one burst during PE , urgh .

but no choice for me , must tahan the excruciating pain lor ;/
so run here to there , up and down , all around in the school .
i tell you i almost DIED , freaking tiring man .

the most hilarious thing right , is my juniors expression after the 30 minutes jog .
their face expressions were like "AH ! can't tahan already !"
they just stoned in the gym , all of them dazed , and the face was like really red .

then after resting for about 10 minutes , we had to do the gym work .
most of them used the machines that was meant for building muscles .
i was like =.=" , why all were so desperate to build up macho muscles ?!

after gym work we had to do , strengthening and stretching .
and during that process , they came up with a really cute nickname for me .
"WAHBIANG ! you rubberband is it ? you do the stretching like no cake leh !"

so they were like "rubberband" here , "rubberband" there .

and you know what is the worst thing ?
just when i thought that the whole "rubberband" frenzy was over ..
i complained the whole incident to Janet after karate , and then she just had to say it .

Jia En just told me this sentence this afternoon , during the fire drill .
because i complained about the hot sun a wee bit too much .
and it really gave me an eye-opener about how others see me .

which is really really , not pleasant ;/

i mean who likes to be seen as a spoilt princess huh , anyone ?
even though i have tried to change about that but it is still not getting into other people's mind .
which i find it really frustrating .

but what the hell can i do ?

i have been living my life with this personality for fourteen long years .
it is not that easy to change over a year or two , really .
even trying to change the small habits of everyday life are like running a never ending marathon .

the main point to type this post is because i stopped feeling lazy about blogging the events that happened a week ago .

let's start with the day where i went to ST.Lukes Eldercare .
me , Janet , Shu Hong , Jia En & Diana and the others arrived at the centre a little later than the reporting time .
because we had less than half an hour to have a break .

BUT , a particular group of boys turn up like 30 minutes later .

because while we all were waiting in the sweltering hot sun ..
they were busy enjoying themselves at a BB'tea shop , how relaxing yeah .
so in any NORMAL situation , people that are waiting for them in the sun will be PISSED OFF .

when that particular group of boys reached , they did some of the things they were asked to do .
which is not so bad , except for those boys who think that they're BIG SHOTS .
and boy oh boy , the others just had to do the extra load of work .

so , some of the elderly went home and it is time that we clean up the place .

the volunteer insructed four people clean the floors , taking different rounds to share the workload .
but woah ! that particular group was so BUSY sending songs to each other .
disturbing the other group of elderly watching TV .

they didn't even give a damned shit , that was only when the manager there scolded them off .
so they turned down the volume and continued chatting , oblivious to the others who were busy cleaning the floor .
and then ANOTHER thing happened .

" Hey , you all can clean other places or not ah ?
The smell damn smelly leh , can't you see that we are sitting here ? "

" Oh , so what we have to listen to you spoilt people complain about the smell is it ?
The people mopping the floor has it worse than you lah , and for the last time can you people MOVE ? "

i gave them a harsh reply , because i was totally pissed off .
we were just telling them to move to another place so that we could clean that area that they were occupying .
but they just had to purposely place their HUGE dirty shoeprints into the place that was cleaned near them .

Jia En told me don't care about them , continue cleaning the floor .
so i did what he told me to , but the problem is we really needed to clean that particular space that they occupied .
so how ? i told them nicely before and they took it for granted .

so i just scolded them off lor , those spoilt brats .

did their parents even TEACH them what the hell is courtesy ?
because if they did , i tell you they did a horrendous job lah .
thinking what the whole world is under their big , smelly feet is it ?

yeah lah yeah lah , in their DREAMS lor .

oh , i forgot to mention a day before that .
one of the guys from that particular group named Niko really pissed me off .
because during recess , he "accidentally" threw a plastic pole at me .

being such a lousy aimer , the pole slammed right into my right ankle .

the ankle that was always giving me dancing problems , great , totally GREAT .
oh oh wait ! he said it was all a joke .
hahahahahahahahahahas . isn't that just hilarious ?

so hilarious till i got scolded for not being able to dance well for ballet class .

on friday , when they are having their usual "drumming" session .
which was like totally disrupting the lesson .
i decided that i had ENOUGH of their nonsense .

so i got in with a heated quarrel with Niko .
and FYI he didn't even bother to apologise of what he did to my already injured ankle .
i have to admit , he is such a PRO at quarelling , so i lost .

the first thing to release all my frustrated emotion was to cry .
it is just an natural instinct of mine lah .
surprisingly , they were laughing hell out loud .

so i got up and gave them a cold , hard , hate-filled stare .
they promptly shutted their gaps and looked away .
peace at last , no laughter , no nothing .

well , i did apologise to some of the boys because some of them were bystanders .
because , i did release my temper on them ..
like throwing of papers and rude stares , i felt so bad .

and in case you guys are reading this , i'm really sorry .
but NOT to that particular one , never .

school was so totally BORING .

almost went sleeping through all the lessons .
i only managed to stay awake during BIO lesson !
cause we were playing with the microscope experiment ;D

we had the cheek cell , onion cell , chicken liver cell and the hydrilla cell .
after sometime , we noticed a problem .
who the hell is going to give their cheek cells ?

i mean , it's kind of disgusting when you think of scraping the insides of your cheek ;/

Ethel volunteered first then followed by me .
Ethel's slide was perfect till she added one extra drop of a blue dye thingy .
making everything dark blue , too dark .

i uh , also put too much .
then i used the toothpick to spread the dye out , like a paintbrush .
it was a total success !

then we had to clean up all the equipments .

i felt freaking squeamish when i had to clean the chicken liver !
my hand still reek of the chicken liver smell D;

ohkay , nevermind about that .

i just want to complain again .
the school system is getting more and more absurd .
it's making the students hate school even more .

i tell you why .

if you fully tucked out your shirt , out of school bounds . for like a couple of times .
you get two strokes of cane for the boys and in-house suspension for the girls .
think it's crazy ? there's more to come .

for example during geography lesson , you just realised that you have forgotten to bring your file .
ah , and it's the second time continuously .
you will have no choice but to serve detention for the next week .

ALL OF THESE RULES ARE MAKING STUDENTS GO BANANAS !

the school is freaking insane i tell you !
can't stand the sight of the teachers already .
except for all the nice ones , i'm not that mean yeah .

and besides from that , last year's PSLE results were the worst ever !

all because of the school are pushing and stuffing more things to the students .
all the things that they should learn later in education .
how can the teachers expect them to do well huh ?

after all those stuffing of useless extra knowledge to the poor students ?

i seriously have no idea what's wrong with people in the working society these days .
many are pushing the young ones beyond their limits in hope that our generation will built a better Singapore .
but it's not going to work out when things are going wrong like this .

i tell you , if this continues .
our generation might be the ones that bring down the nation because of these nonsense that adults are creating .
all in hope for the better future .

i really really really really really HATE detention !

when you reach the detention room ..
the teacher-in-charge will call you to copy a total number of 20 pages from any textbook .
fuck , it just has to be 20 pages huh .
that whole process of copying those god damn bloody pages is damn tiring .

i copied till i cried , right in the middle of detention .
it was totally embarrassing lah , like HELLO ?
all the people sitting around are like staring at me .

probably thinking that i'm totally mad to be crying over such a little matter .

but it's not , fucking not .
my hand was so tired that it started to feel numb , very very numb .
i can't even write properly , my hand writing was like damn fucking atrocious .

i think all school detention systems like to torture students beyond their limits .

the reason why i am SO freaking pissed is because ..

Matthew obviously have an unfair advantage over the other JKK members .
he is cushioned with layers and layers of fat around his entire body .
so the impact of a punch or a kick will not be that big .

FINALLY , LIKE FINALLY !
i have found the "Hanazakari No Kimitachi E SP" movie , with english subtitles .
you have no idea how long it took me to find that J-drama source .

from scouring thorugh every single youtube videos to crunchyroll ..
to many unknown video websites , and more .
well , i found part of the "Hanazakari No kimitachi E SP" video on veoh but it was with france subtitles .

as you people know , my nihonjin isn't that good to understand so many full long nihon sentences .

lucky me , i clicked on a random blog which was said to be loaded with J-drama videos ..
and it turned out that , that person have like a REALLY HUGE amount of J-dramas with english subtitles ;D

HELL-LL-OH WORLD !
it's the third day of school and i am still going strong ;D

the amount of muscles that are getting toned after each tiring day at school , are slowly increasing .
and not forgetting the sensation of soreness after throwing our heavy bags onto the floor .

every year , as we grow taller and taller or whatsoever ..
so does our books , amazing huh .
that explains why we seniors are having a severe back ache whenever we get home .

i am back to fill you up on what you missed during my first day at school .
about me being a senior , oh yeah !~

i woke up at 6:10 am today , what a miracle .
considering the fact that i'm always late , hah !
got ready for school , pack bag & stuffs .

i think i left my house at 6:45 am .
which is totally supherb ohkay !
i only need 30 minutes to get ready for school , woo ~

because last year , and the year before .
i needed like one whole bloody hour to get myself ready .
and most of the time is ALWAYS wasted on my hair .

but ha ! i snipped it short .
easier to handle , and braid it .
and i can see my curls growing beautifully ;D !

yaye me , my curls are making a comeback !

reached school at 7 am sharp .

it's both funny and boring at the same time .

01) we choose a lolipop flavour . ( Cola , Fruit , Creamy , Chocolate )
02) each of them have a different question , like ..

Fruit-what sports are you in ?
Creamy-what things/activity you are good at ?
Chocolate-what things you enjoy to do ?

janet chose cola .
geneva chose fruit .

when i reached home , i practically threw my bags onto the wooden floor .
because they were like so damn HEAVY luh , largely due to the maths textbooks .

which are like freaking thick . damn thick .
not forgetting to say that these textbooks have like a thousand maths questions in them !
imagine the time spent on just doing the homework , urghs .

screw the thoughts of homework , i am so ARASHI-ing .
